Quote Mode — Trial II
Identify the Character from Their Voice Line
In Quote Mode a single line of dialogue from the Lands Between is placed before you. Your task is to
identify the speaker by reading the tone, style, and lore context of the words alone. Each wrong guess
reveals an additional quote line from the same character, giving you more to work with — but true
mastery means naming the speaker from the very first utterance.
How to Play Quote Mode
- Read the voice line displayed on screen carefully — every word is a clue.
- Type the name of the Elden Ring character you believe spoke those words.
- Submit your guess; if wrong, an additional quote line from the same character is revealed.
- Additional lines continue to be revealed with each incorrect guess.
- Fewer guesses used equals a higher final score for the day.
Tips & Strategies
- Formal, archaic speech patterns usually indicate high-ranking characters — royalty, demigods, or ancient beings.
- References to specific places or other named characters immediately narrow the field.
- Ranni, Melina, and Marika have highly distinctive speech rhythms — learn to recognise their cadences.
- Common phrases like "Tarnished" and "Grace" appear in many characters' dialogue and do not narrow the answer on their own.
- Hostile or frenzied language suggests Omen, Frenzied Flame, or corrupted characters.
- Merchant and NPC voice lines are often conversational and refer to commerce, crafting, or local rumour.

- Boss introduction speeches and mid-fight voice lines from major enemies.
