About Elden-Dle

The Daily Elden Ring Puzzle Game

What is Elden-Dle?

Elden-Dle (also written "Eldendle") is a free, browser-based collection of daily puzzle games inspired by the lore, characters, and world of Elden Ring, the open-world action RPG developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Every day a fresh set of puzzles is generated, and every player around the world is given the same challenges on the same day — so you can compare your results with friends and the wider community.

The project began as a love letter to the Lands Between. If you have ever spent hours reading item descriptions, piecing together the fate of the demigods, or arguing about who really shattered the Elden Ring, Elden-Dle is built for you. No account, login, or download is required — open the site and play instantly in any modern browser, on desktop or mobile.

The Daily Trials

Elden-Dle is organised into ten distinct daily game modes, each testing a different facet of your knowledge of the Lands Between:

  • Classic — Guess the secret character using six colour-coded attribute tiles: gender, species, weapon type, region, rune tier, and faction.
  • Quote — Identify the character behind a cryptic in-game voice line or piece of dialogue.
  • Armament — Identify a weapon from its unique skill (Ash of War).
  • Splash — Recognise a character from a tightly zoomed fragment of artwork that widens with each guess.
  • Emoji — Decode a sequence of emoji that distils a character's essence into symbols.
  • Lore — Determine the subject of an ancient lore passage or item description.
  • Map — Pinpoint where a screenshot was taken on the world map of the Lands Between.
  • Unscramble — Untangle a shuffled character name against the clock.
  • Crossword — Fill an interlocking grid built from Elden Ring names using lore-based clues.
  • Armory — Compare weapon attributes tile by tile to identify the hidden armament.

Our puzzle pool draws from over 200 characters and dozens of locations, spanning the base game, the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, and the standalone Elden Ring Nightreign expansion, which has its own dedicated daily modes.

How the Daily Reset Works

All daily puzzles reset at midnight Central European Time (CET). Because the same answer is served to everyone on a given day, Elden-Dle is a shared experience — a single daily talking point for the Elden Ring community. Your progress, streaks, and completion history are stored locally in your own browser using localStorage; nothing is tied to a personal account and nothing is uploaded to our servers. If you miss a day, the Archive lets you replay any past puzzle at your own pace.

Who's Behind Eldendle?

Hi — I'm Kainy, the creator and sole developer of Eldendle. I'm an Applied Computer Sciences student in Brussels, Belgium, and Eldendle is my personal passion project — designed, built, and maintained entirely by me.

I've been playing Elden Ring since it launched, on PS4, and I've been hooked on the Lands Between ever since. My favourite region is the Jagged Peak, and — controversial, I know — I loved the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC even more than the base game.

The idea came from LoLdle, the daily League of Legends guessing game: I kept thinking an Elden Ring version should exist, and when I couldn't find one I built it myself. Every mode started as a rough idea I made just to test whether it was fun — the ones that stuck are the nine trials you play today. It's all hand-made and hand-curated, with answers checked against in-game item descriptions and lore.
