PvP Duel — Challenge a Friend

What Is a Duel?

Duel is Elden-Dle's real-time 1v1 mode. Instead of everyone chasing the same daily answer at their own pace, two players race the same secret — drawn from any one of Elden-Dle's trial types — at the same time, and the first to solve it in the fewest guesses wins. An equal number of guesses is a draw, and forfeiting a duel hands the win to your opponent.

Any trial format can be forged into a duel: attribute-guessing modes like Classic and Armory, reveal modes like Splash, Emoji, and Quote, and every other trial in the roster — each played out against a live rival instead of the clock.

Forging an Arena

To start a duel, forge an arena, choose which trial type to play, and you'll receive a private share link. Send it to a friend and the moment they open it, the match begins — both players guess simultaneously, with live guess counters showing how close your rival is.

Prefer a stranger to a friend? Mark your arena Public before opening it and it's listed under Open Arenas under a randomly assigned boss name, so anyone browsing can jump straight in without needing a link. Private arenas stay link-only and never appear in that public listing.

During the Match

Once both invaders are in the arena, guesses lock in one at a time and each player's tally updates live for the other to see. Quick-chat taunts let you needle your rival mid-match without typing. When someone solves the secret — or both players have made an equal number of guesses without solving — the round ends, a winner is declared, and either side can request a rematch to run it back in a fresh round.
